Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to everyone who uses airays.ai and the Howdi product. It is part of and incorporated into our Terms of Service. Violating the AUP may result in warnings, feature suspension, account termination, and where applicable, reporting to law enforcement or regulators.

1. Zero tolerance — reported and terminated immediately

The following categories result in immediate account termination and, where required by law, reporting to authorities:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — including AI-generated content depicting minors in a sexual context. Reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A and to law enforcement.
  • Credible threats of violence against identifiable people or groups. Reported to law enforcement.
  • Terrorism content — glorification, recruitment, planning, or funding for designated terrorist organizations under US, UN, or EU law.
  • Human trafficking — coordination, recruitment, or promotion of any form of trafficking.
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII) — real or synthetic. Includes AI-generated intimate imagery of any identifiable real person.
  • Coordinated attempts to distribute CSAM, terrorism content, or NCII including through peer messaging, connectors, or community submissions.

2. Prohibited — will be removed and may result in suspension

Impersonation and identity abuse

  • Impersonating any person, brand, or entity in a way likely to deceive
  • Using cloned voice output to impersonate a person without their explicit consent, including public figures, deceased persons, or minors
  • Creating fake accounts to circumvent bans, harass, or defraud
  • Generating deepfakes of identifiable real people (voice, image, video) without their consent

Harassment, hate, and threats

  • Harassment, stalking, bullying, or intimidation of any person
  • Hate speech: content that dehumanizes, denigrates, or attacks people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or serious disease
  • Coordinated group harassment (pile-ons, mass reporting to silence)
  • Targeting private individuals for harassment via peer chat, connectors, or generated content

Fraud and deception

  • Scams: phishing, romance fraud, investment fraud, fake customer support, fake giveaways
  • Misrepresenting AI-generated content as human-authored in contexts where the distinction is material (news, academic work, court filings, professional advice)
  • Fake reviews, engagement inflation, or coordinated inauthentic behavior
  • Selling access to your account or reselling AI Outputs as your own generative service

Regulated and dangerous activity

  • Providing weapons instructions (firearms, explosives, chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear)
  • Providing instructions for producing controlled substances, poisons, or dangerous drugs
  • Facilitating illegal gambling, unlicensed money transmission, or unlicensed securities offerings
  • Selling regulated goods (controlled substances, prescription drugs, firearms, endangered species, human tissue)
  • Coordinating violence, riots, or attacks on infrastructure

Sexual content

  • Any sexual content involving minors — real or AI-generated
  • Non-consensual sexual content of any identifiable adult
  • Sexual content depicting incest, bestiality, or necrophilia

Election, political content, and civic integrity

  • Coordinated disinformation about electoral processes, voter eligibility, or voting mechanics
  • Deepfake audio or video of political candidates or officials in ways likely to deceive voters within 60 days of an election in the relevant jurisdiction
  • Voter suppression content
  • Paid political-content generation as a service. Using airays to generate content for political advertising, political campaigns, or ballot-measure advocacy on behalf of a candidate, party, PAC, campaign committee, or similar organization is prohibited during the preview phase. Personal political speech by individual users is not restricted.
  • Undisclosed synthetic political content. Any AI-generated content depicting political figures, ballot measures, or election-related events that you share publicly must be labeled as AI-generated (our watermark suffices for this). Removing or falsifying the label is a violation.
  • Foreign election interference. Coordinated inauthentic behavior targeting elections in a country you are not a citizen or resident of, on behalf of a foreign government or foreign entity.

Health, medical, and safety claims

  • Using AI Outputs to represent yourself as a licensed medical, mental-health, or veterinary professional in interactions with others, if you are not
  • Generating content that makes disease-treatment, disease- prevention, or medical-diagnosis claims about specific products (regulated by the FDA in the US, MHRA in the UK, EMA in the EU, TGA in Australia, and equivalents elsewhere)
  • Using AI Outputs to provide crisis intervention (suicide, self-harm, domestic violence, child abuse) as if you were a trained counselor. Refer users to established crisis hotlines instead.
  • Generating content encouraging self-harm, eating disorders, or dangerous activities

Privacy violations

  • Doxxing: publishing private personal information (home address, phone number, private ID numbers) without consent
  • Sharing intimate content or communications intended to be private
  • Using generated content to expose or embarrass private individuals
  • Uploading someone else's biometric data (voice, likeness) without consent

Intellectual property and copyright

  • Uploading copyrighted material you don't have rights to use
  • Generating derivative works that infringe active copyrights or trademarks
  • Circumventing DRM or technical protection measures

Malware and security abuse

  • Distributing malware, viruses, ransomware, spyware, or unwanted software
  • Phishing links, credential harvesting, or fraudulent authentication flows
  • Probing airays or third-party systems for vulnerabilities without authorization
  • Denial-of-service attacks against airays or third parties

Platform abuse

  • Automating account creation or evading account limits (multi-accounting to bypass tier caps)
  • Using bots or scripts to inflate metrics, run mass generation, or scrape
  • Reverse engineering, wholesale scraping, or building competing services from our outputs
  • Attempting to extract our system prompts, jailbreak the AI, or provoke outputs that violate this AUP
  • Manipulating the Emotional Shield, evidence chain, or watermarking to defeat safety systems
  • Excessive spam or unsolicited bulk messaging through peer chat, connectors, or community submissions

Professional advice representation

  • Representing AI Outputs as licensed medical, legal, financial, therapeutic, or other professional advice in interactions with others
  • Using specialist personas (doctor, lawyer, therapist, financial advisor) in the practice of a licensed profession without the required qualifications and disclosures
  • Providing AI-generated medical diagnosis or treatment plans to third parties without human physician review

3. Content generation about real people

Generating text, images, voice, or video depicting real, identifiable people is allowed only when:

  • The person is a public figure and the content is clearly satirical, editorial, or newsworthy commentary, AND
  • The content does not falsely attribute statements to the person that could reasonably be believed to be theirs, AND
  • The content is not sexual, defamatory, harassing, or designed to deceive

Generating content depicting private individuals requires their documented consent. Content depicting minors is prohibited except by the parent or guardian of that minor and only for personal use (not for public distribution).

4. Voice cloning specifics

In addition to Section 6 of the Terms of Service, voice cloning is prohibited when:

  • The source voice is not your own AND you do not have documented consent from the person whose voice it is
  • The intent is to impersonate the person in fraud, harassment, or public communication designed to deceive
  • The source is a public figure and the intent is to attribute statements to them they did not make
  • The source is a minor (except for the parent or guardian, and only for personal use)
  • Use violates state anti-impersonation laws (Tennessee ELVIS Act, Louisiana & New York rights of publicity, Illinois Right of Publicity Act, others)

All cloned-voice output carries a watermark and provenance metadata. Removing or falsifying these violates the AUP and, in many jurisdictions, the law.

5. Community catalogue submissions

When you submit a prompt template to the shared community catalogue, it becomes visible to all other users. Community submissions must additionally:

  • Not contain personal information (names, emails, phone numbers, addresses)
  • Not name specific businesses, brands, or copyrighted works in ways that direct users to infringe
  • Not be designed to elicit AI Outputs that violate this AUP
  • Be genuinely useful for a general audience — not spam, not self-promotion, not political campaigning

Community submissions are auto-reviewed by an editorial classifier and may be reviewed by a human editor. We may reject, retire, or edit community templates at any time.

6. Connectors (Slack, Gmail, SMS, WhatsApp)

When you use airays to send messages through a connected external service, you must comply with that service's terms and applicable messaging laws (TCPA in the US, CAN-SPAM, PECR in the UK, GDPR lawful basis for outbound marketing, and equivalent laws elsewhere).

  • Do not send unsolicited commercial or promotional messages via connected services
  • Do not use connectors for mass outreach, cold marketing, or spam
  • Respect opt-outs and unsubscribe requests received via connectors
  • Do not use connectors to circumvent the recipient's blocking of you elsewhere

7. Group chat and calls

  • Do not add people to groups without a reasonable expectation they want to be added
  • Do not use groups for coordinated harassment or spam
  • Do not record calls without the consent of all participants where required by law (all-party-consent jurisdictions include California, Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Washington in the US)
  • Do not use group calls for illegal live events (streaming pirated content, illegal gambling)

8. Reporting violations

To report a violation of this AUP:

  • In-product: use the Report button on the offending message, generated content, or community template
  • By email: abuse@airays.ai for general abuse; legal@airays.ai for legal notices; dmca@airays.ai for copyright
  • Urgent safety (imminent threat of harm): contact local emergency services first, then report to abuse@airays.ai with the subject line "URGENT"

We aim to acknowledge reports within 48 hours and to take action on high-severity reports within 24 hours.

9. Enforcement

When we determine a violation has occurred, we may take any of the following actions depending on severity:

  • Warn the user
  • Remove the offending content
  • Restrict access to specific features (voice cloning, connectors, video generation)
  • Temporarily suspend the account
  • Terminate the account and prevent re-registration
  • Report to law enforcement or regulators (mandatory for CSAM under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A; discretionary for other violations)

You may appeal an enforcement action by emailing appeals@airays.ai within 30 days. Appeals are reviewed by a human editor different from the person who took the original action.

10. Changes

We may update this AUP as new patterns of abuse emerge and as applicable law changes. Material changes will be notified by email or in-product notice at least 30 days before they take effect, except where a change is required by law or is necessary to prevent imminent harm, in which case we may make it effective immediately with notice as soon as reasonably possible.
