Do I have to switch messaging apps?
No. howdi connects to the ones you already use — your conversations stay where they are.
Can airays read my messages?
Yes — when you ask us to. The assistant reads the messages you point it at when you request a summary, a rewrite, or a memory ("remember that Alex is my dentist"). The Emotional Shield also reads each of your drafts once, right before you send, so it can flag anything sharp. What we don't do: read passively, sell your data, or use it to train AI. Message bodies are never logged server-side; the Shield keeps only a risk score, not the text.
Is my data used to train AI models?
No. We've contracted with our AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Replicate, ElevenLabs, Deepgram) to disable training on your data. You can see the full list of providers and their agreements in our Privacy Policy.
What will it cost?
Nothing while howdi is in private beta. There will be paid plans at launch, and we'll tell you what they are before you're ever charged.
When do I get access?
We're opening access in small groups so we can respond to everyone properly. You'll get an email when your group is up.
What if I change my mind?
Disconnect any source, delete everything airays holds about you, and close your account — at any time, without asking us.
